About us - The  Lions Club of Fairlop

The Lions Club of Fairlop (LCOF) was formed in May 2006 and given its official charter in November 2006 with a membership of 23 members. LCOF was previously what we call a “branch club” and attached to our sister club the Lions club of Seven Kings which has been established for many years. From there eight experienced members then formed the branch club and we have since progressed to a present membership level of 24 members and full club status.

At Fairlop we are proud to be Lions. There is no better satisfaction in life than giving to others less fortunate than ourselves. We give up our time voluntarily and do not receive any financial remuneration for the work we do. Almost every member joins the Lions organisation because they wish to give something back to the community that has served them well.

The main activity of our club is raise funds on a continual basis to donate to charities and other deserving good causes in addition to providing any service to the community that may be needed. Supporting projects abroad and in the UK, our motto is ‘we serve’ and our remit to help those less fortunate than ourselves
